QUANG NAM – The Quang Nam Tourism Association will host more than 20 webinars about the tourism industry on Facebook live weekly to help businesses and employees improve their knowledge and remain motivated during the coronavirus outbreak.

A webinar on “Financial risk management for the tourism and hospitality industry” will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, and will be shared live on Fanpages such as Quang Nam Tourism Association and Nghe Khach San.

The topic, chaired by Bui Thi Le Phuong, Chairwoman and Director of Centax Finance and Accounting Company, will kick off the series of webinars to be held every Tuesday night.

“Cultural characteristics, habits and skills for serving European tourists” and “Tourism geography” will be the other confirmed topics for the next two weeks.

Phan Xuan Thanh, Chairman of Quang Nam Tourism Association (QTA), said the program will attract experts and tourism insiders to share the values of the Quang Nam tourism community.

“I hope that people working in the tourism industry, regardless of the circumstances, remain motivated. Using the knowledge they get from the series of webinars, they [businesses and employees] can come up with a good plan to adapt to the changes in the future when tourists return,” said Thanh.

Le Quoc Viet, who runs a homestay in Hoi An City and owns a job search website, said keeping businesses and employees motivated is very important. “This will successfully motivate all of us in the future,” stated Viet.

Organized by QTA with the support of businesses such as Hoteljob.vn and Phynig House Hoi An Co-working Space and many social organizations, the program titled “Keep motivation – Meet experts” will offer various topics ranging from the green sustainable tourism criteria for Quang Nam to the code of conduct in business and tourism product development and differences among others, which will be taught by leading tourism experts.

Quang Nam tourism has been strongly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak and this is also an opportunity for businesses in the central province to grasp how to build advanced human resources and improve their awareness over sustainable tourism.
