HCMC – The Ministry of Health reported no new cases of coronavirus infections this morning, April 12, keeping the country’s total confirmed cases unchanged at 258, with 144 of them having recovered and been released from hospital and 25 others testing negative for the virus once or twice.

Among the current tally, 159 patients were categorized as imported, including foreigners entering Vietnam and returning Vietnamese citizens, and 99 others are locally-transmitted cases, the local media reported.

Of the 25 patients who have tested negative for the virus, 12 cases are expected to be discharged from hospital soon as their test results have come back negative twice.

Data from the ministry indicate that over 72,500 people are under quarantine, with 1,200 of them being in isolation at hospital.
